Alakazam can do some insane damage. Combining the draw power of this deck, plus 20 damage for each card in your hand for only 1 energy, it can almost one shot anything. However, that doesn't stop Mega Venusaur from keeping charged up to Jungle Dump on you. If my math serves me right, that means you need 19 cards in hand to win...but you only have 6 cards in hand, and 11 in deck...

With the upcoming format rotation approaching, decks that depended on Reg G cards need to find ways to achieve their same goals. Let's take Ceruledge for example. It loses Squawkabilly ex, a card that helped acceelerate energy discards fast! In the upcoming regulation, more "Go first, strike fast" decks are appearing, such as Mega Lucario ex. In this case, your opponent, although having a bad hand, was able to play Mega Lucario quickly, before you had time to bring out Ceruledge. See if you can find the quick win with the help of your Noctowls! Both of these decks are built from Reg H-J.

In the classic Ceruledge ex vs Gardevoir ex matchup, you notice a critical flaw in your opponent's setup - they open with Fezandipiti ex in the active! You run your "blind toss your hand twice" routine but only discard 3 energy in the process. You pass your turn, your opponent grunts, attaches Bravery Charm to Fezandipiti, and passes their turn. Is this an opportunity to win the game on only the second turn!? If only you had a way to do 260 damage...
Is Slaking new BDIF?
We saw Slaking ex nearly make top cut at Stuttgart Regionals 2025, finishing 37th with a deck that has barely seen play in majors. This deck takes a lot of inspiration from Greninja ex / Pidgeot with its use of Grand Tree. You find yourself in a situation vs 2 Cornerstone Mask Ogrepon ex and a Munkidori, ready to take their last 2 prize cards. With your Fezandipiti ex already weakened, one more turn and the game is essentially over. You have 3 prize cards left. With a little luck you might be able to find a Pokemon without an ability to hit Cornerstone.
